it's weird how time just slips away
Dec. 23rd, 2007 09:14 pmI got a chance to sleep in this morning, yay. So I really didn't get going on errands until around 11:30, when I went and picked up the last of the presents and bought groceries for the next couple of days. I came home, I napped (woo-hoo!), and then I made a pot roast with carrots, onions, tomatoes, garlic and red wine, plus butternut squash. While it cooked, we got the tree up, and I wrapped up the neighbor's present so we could take it over to them. J brought over oven-baked red potatoes, and we had a loaf of bread to go with everything as well. Now it's 9:15 and I just wonder: where has my day gone?
Still to do: decorating the tree and wrapping the presents. Oh, and sorting and soaking the beans for the soup we're making for tomorrow's dinner. I am looking forward to the 26th as my day to just hang out and read.
