Yuletide and Fanlore

While fanlore is a repository for information about fandoms, do you think it would be a good idea to ask the people on Yuletide to input some basic information--like where people can go to find more information about a show's canon, and where the main archives are--into fanlore? That way when you get your assignment, you can easily check on something else on their request list if it strikes your fancy, but even better, if people get caught up in a story on yuletide and want to read more in the fandom or join some fannish communities, they can go to fanlore and find most of that stuff easily.

Or do you think this would result in a lot of entries with the 'needs more fandom' label and general frustration?

actually, you know, I could probably take the giant yuletide fandom list and automatically populate a bunch of fanlore entries with say, fandom name, list of character names, link to wikipedia entry for that fandom, which would then encourage people to NOT duplicate the wikipedia information but instead add more "fandom" links etc. I've been thinking about doing something like this for the AOOO, for fandom/character tags, actually.

Hey, I have set up an account called FanloreBot for this purpose and also set up a "Bot status requests" page here:

I doubt we'll get a lot of requests, but I figured as long as I was making the bot, might as well set up a central place for keeping track of them. Can you set FanloreBot to be a bot? I've linked to how/where from that page, at the top. :)
