Why is it that pilates class kills me each time I do it? I did an hour or so for Sat, Sun, and Mon, and no problem. I go to pilates, and I can't even finish the full set of each of the level 1 leg exercise, and have real trouble with the balancing stuff. I'm going to have to keep going with it so eventually I will get better.

Meanwhile, my legs. Ow.

Rache, are you sure you have a good teacher? Not pushing too much? I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, and some days even have trouble getting out of bed, but I try to go to my Pilates class once a week and while I feel some stretching, but NEVER pain. Something doesn't sound right here...

The pain is always the next day or the day after, not during, so it's more a reminder that I worked really hard. I tore a hamstring once at (get this) Curves, where it's just about impossible to do anything wrong. (Seriously, an 80-year-old was working out with me that night. "All I have to do is step up on one of these platforms, and my heart rate is already in the target zone, let alone moving" Then I stepped off the platform and injured myself, while she was going strong.) I remember that pain very well, and while the second and third days were the worst, I still felt real pain when it happened day. I'm not feeling any pain when I do this, usually just a pleasant "I pushed myself" ache the day or two after. I think I must have already had tired muscles by the time I started, because of the cycling, so I felt it more.
