Found a draft drabble from 2001 (HL)

In cleaning out my drafts folder on my yahoo account, I came across an HL drabble I wrote in 2001. It's quite pointless, and is dialog-only, which is something I pretty much hate. Obviously, this was a bit I planned to work into a story at some point in time, but as 4 years have passed? Probably not happening.

Still, it's LJ, so here goes:


"So, when did you figure out that you were gay?"

"Joe, please. I’ve always had a thing for older men."

"Sure as hell didn’t seem like it."

"What can I say? I guess I was looking for a father figure."

"Ha-ha. Very funny, MacLeod."

"Come on. Get dressed. Methos will be wondering what happened to us."

"So why didn’t you sleep with him?"

"Methos? He hates men."

"What? But he’s—"

"Slept with thousands, I know. But that’s just it, Joe. To Methos, Men are…"

"Disposable?"

"Convienant. I’d rather be his friend. He’s hell on lovers."

"Ain’t that the truth."

Wow, Joe and Duncan. I know it's been done before, well at least I think it has, but wow. Thanks for sharing. I now have lovely imagines of the two of them together.

It's a rare HL pairing, I know, but sometimes I just have this irritating-kid need to buck a trend. *g* I like Joe, and his relationship with Duncan was really interesting, with lots of sparks at times. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks!

Oh, honey, I missed this. Just found it thanks to unovis_lj, and am SO glad I did. I love it beyond reason. From now on, in my mind, this is exactly how it happened.
