First outdoor ride of the year. I did a full 20 miles, along the Sammamish River Trail. And I made it up my own hill to my driveway on the way home. I'm training for the 25 mile tour de cure again this year, and I think I'm getting there. Still under 12 MPH, but speed can be fixed. I still have a month to go.

WOOT! I only managed 9 miles on Wednesday. Hills kill me. I have to walk them which is embarrassing. *g* I'm working up to doing 25 miles someday, and I only manage around 5-10 miles an hour. You are my hero!

and up your hill at the end! As I was driving over there this week, I looked at that hill and marveled that I had ever ridden up it, however slowly.

You rock.

(Call tomorrow before you come, yes?)

OMG, that's SO AWESOME!!!!!

And I cheat about hills. I've got a hybrid electric bike. I use the 'twist and go' function when biking 'normally' (which is without any electric assistance until you turn the throttle) and then click to 'pedal assist' (you pedal, it helps) on the hills (unless it gets really really difficult. Then I cheat, too with the TAG feature.)

I adore mine. The low-budget ones are less than a high-end bike, and since I ride in a city, make me feel MUCH more secure about biking in traffic, especially out of stop signs and stop lights. Granted, for really busy intersections, I still use the sidewalks, but I expect that'll go down as I gain confidence.
