Rebecca was the author of a best-selling Star Trek: TNG novel (Guises of the Mind) and two Highlander novels (The Path, Shadow of Obsession), along with her original work. She was local to me, but I didn't really know her; she was just a fixture of the local SF community, so I would run into her on occasion. I enjoyed listening to her stories about writing her books, and I remember the fun I had when she and Gillian Horvath played off on one another at one of the Highlander cons I went to. I will miss seeing her around.

So sad. Thank you for letting us know. I never really met her, but listened to her speak on many panels at Orycon over the years. She will be missed.
