Day-to-Day chatter
Mar. 30th, 2007 02:32 pmI really wasn't much of a conversationalist this month, was I? I can't even blame the writing; other than the con, I'm not sure exactly what I did. I had lunch with
sherrold today, which was a lot of fun. She did the bike/bus combo to get over here, something that I have not yet figured out how to do. (I think I just don't trust the bus to be there when I want. Or trust myself to make its schedule.) She had to get back for radiation treatment--every evening for the next 7 weeks, ugh--but she's looking well. I gave her the autographed picture of Michael Shanks from the con last weekend, and she seemed really happy to get it.
She also mentioned that she and her partner would be willing to sign up for the Tour de Cure, if I was up for riding the 45 mile route with them; I absolutely jumped at the change as I would much rather have company than ride alone. So it looks like we'll all be doing that in May. And since it's not as much distance, I don't have to work quite so intently this next month. That 70-mile training plan looked a little daunting for a single rider.
I need to get back into the swing of writing again; I also need to trim my 'to-read' list the way I just whacked stuff off my TiVo to-dos. After the con, I am really far behind.
