Must do some organizing this week

I start the new job tomorrow, which I am having a hard time believing. I keep thinking I'm going to get an email/phone call early in the morning telling me that there was a snafu, and I shouldn't show up until Wednesday. I haven't had to start a new job in a while, and I guess I'm a little anxious.

Fannishly, I need to get organized. I have a lot of comments to respond to, and I still need to catch up on the stuff I wrote for the holidays. I signed up for the 'Pic for 1000 words challenge', and need to work on that as well; I haven't done anything other than just look at the picture. Also the wiki committee is re-forming, so I need to get on top of that as well. But tonight procrastination runs deep for me, so it may be another few days before I kick myself into gear and get some of this done. We'll see if work leaves me some energy for that!

I was completely unable to deal with people the following weekend, but I do feel like I am getting back on my feet. The hangover from new people and new situations is sometimes excruciating for me.

Thanks, hon! The good thoughts must have worked, as I have finished two weeks on the job, which is more of an operations type position. Less money but also less responsibility, which I think will turn out to be a good thing.

Thanks! It's been two weeks, and I'm only just started to pick up my fannish life again, but it's great to know that a check is coming. I had not realized just how worried I was as my unemployment benefits neared their end.

Thanks! The new job is started, but I am only now starting to get organized. I finally feel like I am finding my feet again.
