My son went out and measured the snow in our backyard, and right now, we have six inches, but the snow continues to fall. It is lovely and nice from inside the house. We've already baked muffins and I have some russian tea cake cookies almost ready to go, plus we're having pot roast for dinner. I have managed to get lights on the tree, and plan decorations for later; I also want to read a bit, and play on the wii today. I guess my son's snow day means I get to have one too. ;)

Ooh. Time for more tea I guess.

I am kicking back and writing today. :) So glad I refused to work extra. I KNEW we were going to get hit, and I love it, so long as I don't have to go anywhere.

I'm afraid that by the end of tomorrow we might have cabin fever. I'll have to figure out something for us to do.

I work in Fremont and I had to walk to work today. We've had almost 100 people calling out so far. It's beautiful but I hate the fact that I might have to work until midnight servicing our building since the staff can't make it in.

My building faces Aurora Ave and it's still coming down hard. Lovely!

If you have six inches, I can't be that far behind. I'm "working" from home today (note the "working") and am wondering if I'll make it in tomorrow.

Wish I could come have dinner at your place ;) I think dinner here will be sausages. or baked chicken.

My dad called to say he saw Redmond on the national news, and we got 9 inches of snow at whatever he was was listening to. That seems crazy to me.

It's been good. I fear there might be cabin fever tomorrow though.

This sounds wonderful! You're making me want to bake.

(Update: I am now much calmer; Pico has hit a not-visibly-in-pain plateau (Yay!) and my Yuletide story is...okay. Anyway, if you need beta-ing or anything, let me know.)

I went ahead and got, oh, a half-dozen betas (you know me) and probably still missed a few things. I already posted it so I'd stop fussing, so I'm pretty much good to go, though I still fear that I have missed something completely embarrassing. If you need another set of eyes for a beta, let me know, and I'll be happy to help!

I wish we got snow days.

Stupid city that actaully has to be prepared for these things because they are commonplace. I mean, what is the point of working at a school if you never ever ever get snow days?
