Nov. 26th, 2008 02:05 pmSo far today, I have managed to bake the cinnamon rolls and get them to Ev's school, pay a couple of bills, pick up the kid from school, start the pie crust, and play a couple of games of Pandemic II.
(Glances at other people who posted about it. I wiped out everyone except NZ on my best game thus far.)
Have not yet worked out nor done any writing other than fanlore. My plan is to do something once the pie shells are cooling, before I work on the fillings.
::snorts in disbelief::
The cinnamon rolls turned out okay, for my first time trying them. I used my secret celebrity chef Alton's recipe, and while I think I added too much flour to the dough, the kids didn't care. They are them all before my son could get any. Two other parents brought homemade rolls, the rest were all Pillsbury or store bought, and almost all had cream cheese frosting. I have promised Ev that I will make some over the weekend just for us, since I still have all the ingrediants left.
I guess this homemade cooking binge is one nice side effect about being home so much, except that I am gaining weight. Guess I'll be one of those post-Holiday dieters, huh? Oh! And if anyone is thinking about doing a long ride like the STP this next year, let me know. It looks like my regular training companions might not be making it.
