WTF cooking?

Yesterday, I make sirloin steak with citrus salsa. Today, it's Moroccan chicken, something shrift pointed out last friday. I can tell that I'm getting back to training, as that's the only time lately that I want to cook. If I can't eat everything I want to, then I'm obsessed with thinking about food and cooking big meals that I will only eat small amounts of.

But wow, the house sure smells great.

Mmm, that sounds awfully good. We make something similar involving dried apricots, chickpeas, red bell pepper, and kalamata olives (and chicken breasts and broth, and a ton of lemon juice and thin lemon slices) -- we call it "lemony chicken," and eat it over couscous, and it's definitely a Moroccan-inspired sort of thing.

Mine turned out fine, but not spicy enough to please my palate. I think I'm going to try spicing up the leftovers.

On the other hand, it does smell divine.

Oh that looks good. Last night we had chicken with mushroom and fennel white wine sauce, on the side were roasted garlic, parsnips, rutabaga, celery root and potatoes. It was so good. God, I love root vegetables.
