All good points, and if I was trying for a gen interp, I'd go there. The only thing I disagree with is how Sam is talked about in this ep--it's all about the sciences, and her scientific prowess. We already know that Ronon has grown more uncomfortable with his lack of knowledge in that area--he knows about being a soldier, but he's mentioned maybe needing to learn some science stuff. I wonder if that isn't part of his distrust of her, that she's been sold to the expedition as a scientist, and Ronon isn't terribly keen on having a scientist as his boss.
Oh, man. And Elizabeth would have gone to meet with them, rather than letting Sheppard's team do it on their own. She knows that's an area that they are weak in and could back them up on it.
I'm wondering what I can take away from the Elizabeth/Ronon thing, maybe a scene where they meet up again later, and how that messes with Ronon's head. Hmmmm.
