Yuletide to Go.
Oct. 7th, 2007 09:22 pmThis icon killed me when I first saw it, so now that I have submitted my yuletide request, I had to snag some icons. It's just...It's not time for santa hats yet, so I needed something not completely holiday. Humor always foots that bill.
As usual, I submitted the full 4 holiday requests, and hopefully this year's 'details' section is both specific enough and vague enough to give people a sense of what I'd like to read that's also interesting to them. Some of the write ups that I've done before were a little too specific, more like ideas for stories that I should get off my butt and write myself, rather than ideas and concepts that I could give someone else. If I'm writing out an actual story plot, that's a little too much detail.
I put in 15-20 fandoms in the 'to write' pile. My challenge to myself is to make most of those 'Any', rather than limiting it to just a few characters. It means I could write some really wacky stuff, but I think I'm good with that, even though I spend the first 3 weeks pounding my head against the wall to see if any ideas fall out. I foresee several weekends of too much chocolate and panicked writing, but I really do love the process and feeling a part of a big group like this. Hopefully my job won't interfere.
