Wow. A Weekend. Huh.
Mar. 18th, 2007 08:00 pmI am so much better today, I am humming with happiness. On Friday, I just sorta hung out, recuperating from the cold; on Saturday, I felt well enough that I got on my indoor bike and did a full workout. Toward the end, I had to say goodbye to
eliade, who has been staying with us the last couple months. (The cats have been bummed that she's gone, and keep talking to me about it.) Then I headed to the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure kick-off, where I won a free bike tune up. As the retail value of the tune up was worth more than the entry fee for the event, I did, in fact, sign-up. So, on May 19th, I will be doing a 1-day cycling event to help raise money for Diabetes research. I signed up for the 70 mile event, but I may decide to do the 40, depending on how I am feeling at the time.
You know, I'm going to have to buy rain gear for this, won't I?
(If this big supported ride thing works out, I am also thinking of signing up for the MS 150 in September, basically bookending my summer with fund raising events. Which isn't so bad, I think. I'll have to see how this goes.)
Today...I got my toes painted. *g*
Still no process on writing, and I spaced on putting the story I wrote in Feb up on the website. But I did get my car tabs, which now need to go on the car, and I did finish Surfacing I. I want to write a brief review of it, but I may not get around to it. I seem to be a little pushed for time.
