It's Looking Like Yuletide!

I admit it. I have cribbed a lot from my former yuletide letters. I love characters and world building, whether that world is a neighborhood just down the street or one hundreds of light years or centuries away. Make yourself happy and that'll make me happy too. There more generic info on what types of stories I like, but I didn't delve into the universes I picked this time. I figure you know the characters, and would enjoy seeing your take on them, whatever that may be.
I like to see what makes people tick, and I’m also a relationship fan, so character-driven stories make me particularly happy. Friendship stories make me just as happy as explicit stories, so don't stress writing anything that makes you uncomfortable. That said, I also enjoy erotica if you happen to enjoy writing it. My bulletproof kink is D/s.
As far as the world building goes, it doesn't matter to me if that world is strongly series-related, science fiction, horror, or a complete fantasy. You can bring other characters into a story beyond the ones that I’ve chosen, and you can create your own characters if you like; you can also limit it to just the ones I’ve picked. Any way you want to work it, I’m good.
Story tropes that I like include: First times, teasing, banter, dark pasts, found families (which is a theme of this year's fandom selections), self-realization, wistful regret, pining, old hurts, second chances, dreams, romance without schmoop, adventure, ass kicking, angst, exotic settings, outsider POV, wacky undercover situations, steampunk, horror, other worlds, whumpage, hurt/comfort, themes about trust and love.
I do have some dislikes: heavy illness (cancer, AIDS, etc), pregnancy, public humiliation/embarrassment, death and permanent disability. Not that I think you'd write that for yuletide, but I wanted to get it out there anyway. I'm not keen on first person POV or all dialog stories, though I am fine with a story narrated by an original character or that features original characters as long as the people I’ve selected are the main focus.
Heck, you don’t have to limit yourself to a living character if there’s something else that inspires you. The rose goblin's or Toby's cats perspectives could be cool for the Toby Daye series story.
Enjoy writing it and I'm sure I'll love reading it. All of the details are optional, and I’m happy to leave specifics up to you. Like I said, I love these characters and I'll love whatever you choose to write in any of these fandoms. I'm really looking forward to it!

Fionna (Adventure Time)
More adventure time for Fionna and Cake! I loved Fionna and would love to see more of the world that she lives in, including the Ice Queen or any gender swapped version of our regular universe characters. (Sam Strong maybe? Or Marcel and Fionna recording together? The Flame Prince?) Or given that the last episode of this season revealed all of the alternate universes could be connected, I'd also be up for her running into 'our' Finn and Jake.
2) Toby Daye - Seanan McGuire
May Daye, Jasmine "Jazz" (Toby Daye), Quentin (Toby Daye), Raj (Toby Daye)
This prompt is basically two stories in one, and feel free to focus on one story and background the other as you see fit. The first prompt focuses on May and Jazz: I know that a lot of May's background has been sketched out in bits and pieces, but how much of that does her girlfriend Jazz know? There is so much subtext with them, things alluded to that I would love to see, like their actual first date. Plus with both May and Jazz being linked to death omens that would be an undercurrent in their relationship -- what is Jazz's fae role as a raven maiden, for example. I'd love to see a little of their lives together, outside of the series, both in terms of the fae world and the human one.
The second story has a focus on the two squires, Quentin and Raj, but with the same sort of what is their relationship like as the two girls. I'd love to see the boys hang out together, and maybe have their own adventure outside of the regular series.
You don't have to write both stories; I'm happy with a story exploring one of the two relationships, and the other in the background. If you want to have Quentin and May talking about their lives and loves, that works too. I just want something that focuses on the supporting characters and their lives outside of the series.
3) Person of Interest (TV)
John Reese, Harold Finch
These guys fascinate me. I am drawn to their dance around each other, and the way they are using these cases as a form of penance/salvation. There's a subtlety to their interactions that is part cat-and-mouse, part dependency and reliance. I would love to see more of their give-and-take. Other characters are fine, but the focus should be on the relationship. Oh, and a little hurt/comfort is also never a bad thing.
