Dear Yuletide 2005 Santa
Nov. 14th, 2005 09:15 amWow, I guess it's that time of year again, isn't it? Thank you for signing up to write one of my stories. I can't even guess which of the 4 fandoms I chose you'll want to write in. But for any of them, I think I can truthfully say that I am into character-driven stories, so I am not really looking for a huge action plot. If you want to write one, that's great, but I know there's not a lot of time, so don't stress yourself out over it. Dialogue, pacing and character-interaction make me happy; I'm not asking for an epic.
I am, however, asking for a slashy relationship between the male characters. If it's the Jurassic Park story you're looking at, a threesome would be okay, but it's not required; feel free to just have the guys talking with Ellie, rather than all of them making out. For the Wedding Chasers one, I'd kind of like a foursome, but it doesn't have to be explicit; G-rated relationships are fine. I just want to see caring between all of the characters.
I think that's my theme for this year - caring. Caring friendships, caring partnerships, caring sexual relationships: it's all good. Show me that the guys (and girls) like each other and I'll be happy. Oh! I'd like a happy ending, too.
Other stuff: a little humor or a little hurt/comfort is never out of place, and first times are always nice. And really, I'm not the kind to say 'no' to a little bit of angst or wistful longing or passionate despair, though again, I'm not looking for focused emotional intensity here. (However, if you are moved to write focused emotional intensity, then go for it. I really do like it, but it's not required.)
No death. No terminal illness. No brain damage. No het-only stuff. Gen is fine, though. I have no problem with that.
Okay, I think that's it for the moment. (Feel free to post anonymously and ask me questions -- oops. Mods say this is a no-go. Email the mods and they'll get me the questions) Anything you ask, I'll be happy to answer. I'd like you to have fun working on this, not stress over it too much.

And for my own assignment. ::cough:: Oh, yeah. I forgot I signed up for that one. I guess I'll have to do some source material research before I start thinking about what I can do.
