Bike Ride One
Jul. 3rd, 2005 10:34 amI made it from my place to Chateau St. Michelle, which is about 10 miles from me -- maybe 11 -- round trip. It's the sammamish river trail, which connects with the burke-gilman trail and it's dead flat, which is amazing in the Seattle area. (The only hill is the one back up to my house again. *g*) Lots of pretty things to look at today, and nice and cool when I went out, maybe in the lower 60s? (that's about 15-18 I think) There was some sort of festival going on out at the sports fields, as there were about 50 + tents set up in the area, and a concession stand was open.
Anyway, it took me about an hour, plus some extra time to walk my bike up my hill. I figure before I go out and do anything longer, I will need to invest in some of those nifty bike accessories, like a camelback. But an hour is good, after not having biked in quite some time. I'm sure my butt will be complaining about it tomorrow.
