in memoriam: Rebecca Neason

Rebecca was the author of a best-selling Star Trek: TNG novel (Guises of the Mind) and two Highlander novels (The Path, Shadow of Obsession), along with her original work. She was local to me, but I didn't really know her; she was just a fixture of the local SF community, so I would run into her on occasion. I enjoyed listening to her stories about writing her books, and I remember the fun I had when she and Gillian Horvath played off on one another at one of the Highlander cons I went to. I will miss seeing her around.

I wasn't able to find anything on the web, and I hate that. I want our (big our) passing to be noticed. I'm glad *you* noticed.

It might not be on the web yet. I got the info from Club Andor, Randelle's SF group list. (I'm on it, but I never post.) Email came through about her illness on Friday, but I wasn't sure it was that Rebecca Neason until the email about her passing came through, and it mentioned her five books being her legacy. It was just too much stuff for it not to be her.
