Hi!  Thank you so much for volunteering to write me a story in any of my chosen fandoms.  If you are stuck, I hope this letter gives you some ideas for things you can write.  If you already have an idea for the characters I asked for, go for it. If your idea involves other characters in supporting roles -- canon characters or original characters -- I am fine with that.  I want you to have fun writing the story and not stress every detail I have suggested.

If you are here looking for potential treat-inspiration, I would love to get a little something extra in my stocking if you felt like writing it.  Treats are always loved.

Fandom: Star Trek: Lower Decks
D'Vana Tendi
T'Lyn

My original prompt:

Tendi wants so much to be T'Lyn's best science friend! Or does she want something else? What sort of plans does she hatch to get T'Lyn's attention? Maybe her other best buddies can give her some wacky advice. 

Other thoughts:

Happy to have Rutherford, Mariner and/or Boimler backing up Tendi and T'Lyn. If you have an idea for a plot- heavy story  or one that leans into the angst or horror, I am open to it. 

Fandom: What Moves the Dead - T. Kingfisher
Alex Easton
Miss Potter

My original prompt:

It's clear Alex is impressed with Miss Potter, and I'd love to see a bit of their lives outside of mycology and a dreary gothic wood. Perhaps they dine together and Alex reveals something of life in Gallacia that sparks Miss Potter's interest. Or there is a rare warm day that leads the two of them to take a walk together and perhaps confidences shared.

Other thoughts:

Worldbuilding!  This book is so tightly focused on such a small part of the world, and there are hints of other things going on around the characters.  I'd love to see more sworn soldiers and their impact on the world.

Fandom: Hidden Legacy Series - Ilona Andrews

My original prompt:

Sister powers unite! I'd love a secret project of some sort - big stakes not required! A heist is always nice, and any sort of hijinx is welcome. I'd be fine with the rest of the large extended family joining in on some sort of secret celebration. 

Other thoughts:

Worldbuilding! I like this universe a lot, and feel there is a lot more that can be explored.  

In general, stuff I like includes:

• I like cozy season stories from light-hearted romps with hijinks and shenanigans to the intense slow build, gothic style angst with deep personal reveals.  I'm good with whatever story tone you want to write.

• Relationships  - Any rating from a friendship story to an adventure story to epic romance to slash or femslash erotica. I like seeing characters and relationships put to the test in some fashion -- whether that's a big epic adventure or a small, closed door conversation, I leave up to you. 

• Worldbuilding -   Even if it's not an official option in the fandom, please bring in other characters if you want, including original characters. My selected characters should be the focus, but there are a lot of other people in the universe too.

• A slow reveal - could be romance, could be crime, could be psychological horror, could be a quest or a case.  I like it when things take a little time. 

• Happy/hopeful endings

• Hijinks and capers 

• Banter, puns, and wordplay

• A story narrated by an original character, animal companion, or inanimate object 

• What if...? Alternate histories, alternate universes, slight canon side steps -- all good

• Competent people doing competent things (or super-lucky people doing super-lucky things.  That works too.)

Tropes I Love:

• Enemies to Friends, Friends to Lovers, Friends to Family.

• First times

• Dark pasts and hidden secrets

• Second chances

• Hurt/comfort

• Feeling not good enough for someone else

• Forced to share - some food, a book, a bed, a small submersible, an airship ... 

• Fake relationship turns real

• Road trip

Do Not Wants:

• DNW: Non-canonical permanent disability or death of requested characters. Canonical death is fine! Currently dead and loving it, all good. Dead but feeling better, that's awesome too.

• DNW: Unrelenting GRIMDARK.  Angst is triple-plus good, but not unrelenting misery.

• DNW: Social embarrassment, like dropping a bowl of food all over a friend at a big party and drawing everyone's attention.  Unless it's part of a caper/heist/ploy, then it's okay.

Enjoy writing your story and I'm sure I'll love reading it. All of the details are optional, and I’m happy to leave specifics up to you. Like I said, I love these characters and I'll love whatever you choose to write in any of these fandoms. I'm really looking forward to it!
