Writing Yuletide

I have decided that I have finished a draft of my yuletide story as it has a beginning, a middle and an end. It is, however, a horrible story: the first 1/2 has too much description in comparison with the last 2/3; the narrator's voice comes and goes; the pacing is atrocious; and it switches from past tense to present on a random basis. Some sections will need to be pruned and some need to be flashed out, but that's all editing work. And I think that in the two weeks I have left, I can edit this horrid story into a reasonable present, so I'm just going to go work with it and see what happens.

And yes, yesterday I was thinking about chucking it all and bailing on the challenge. I'm gonna be here in the corner muttering to myself "two weeks".

Would a second set of eyes help? I didn't sign up for Yuletide this year, but I like it if I can help people who did. Even if I don't know the fandom!

Yay! Still a lot of work, but I can do that as long as I make myself focus. Didn't do so well on that today, but hopefully tomorrow will be better.
