My husband is reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and occasionally cackling with glee. Who knew that all the classic romance needed was the addition of some ultraviolent zombie mayhem to widen its appeal?

Oh man, Pride and Prejudice was the cause of the most bitter gender divide in my high school. All the boys professed to hate it (without reading it), and two of the three girls in our English class loved it (guess who the third was). It was the first time gender loyalty became a significant factor in my life. Zombies might have eased classroom tensions considerably.

That is next on my to-read list, after I finish the Riddle-Master trilogy! I keep looking at the cover on my side table and cackling with glee.

He keeps reading bits from it at me, and is terribly concerned about how it's all going to work out. It's so utterly cool to see him reading it.
