Ride Length: 12 miles (more or less)
Elevation: nada
Where: Sammamish River Trail
Start Time: 7:30 pm
End Time: 8:25 pm
How long: about an hour
On bike time: 53 minutes, avg speed 13.6 mph
Calorie guesstimate: 500
I think this is the fastest I have ever done this route, so yay me! I was starting so late that if something happened, like a flat, there was a good chance that it would be dark by the time I got back to town; so for that reason, I went ahead and drove myself to the trail head, just in case. Nothing bad happened though, and it was a pleasant evening to go out for a ride.
Lots of bunnies were out on the trail, darting across the road in a game of bicycle chicken, plus gooseshit hollow (as I call it) had the whole family out, including the new goslings. I focused on speed, and made it back by dusk, which was awesome. Though I do need to stop fussing and put a light on the bike.
