Writing reflections

Thanks to my wonderful betas, I turned in my sga_santa story today, so now only undermistletoe is left. Which is sad, as the story sucks so, so much, and lacks an ending. In my attempt to get this done in time for some editing (*ack* 8 days left!) I've decided to bail on reading fiction on LJ. I haven't yet cut myself off from personal LJs, but that reading stories thing is right out.

Just as soon as I finish this one...

Go you! I'm looking so forward to reading the sga_santa stories this year.

Mine is basically done, I think, though I'm waiting to hear back from one beta about whether the changes I made are good ones. I'm awfully happy with it, mostly because I just adore John and Rodney so much that I kind of can't help being giddy whenever I write them. :-)

I love the whole anon. thing. I get behind early, so I try to save aside stories that have been recc'd, but it's great to have this constant supply of stories to read. Plus I get to dabble in the het, gen, and rare pairs stuff (though I am a wimp, so the only ones I read unrecc'd are the ones that focus on my fav rare and secondary characters. I wouldn't be first in line to read that McKay/Kavanagh story.)
