Ack! Rethinking at the last minute

I signed up for a couple of very small fandoms, ones that were on the red list of too many requests and not enough writers. Now I'm all a-dither with an "ack! ack! ack! what happens if that's what I have to write?"

The smaller the fandom, the more likely it is to be what I have to write...

Yeah, I considered signing up for one needy fandom - which I have offered in the past - but then I thought, argh, that would make it strong odds that I would have to write it, and I would be disappointed to get it rather than one of the other offers I'm more excited about, so I declined.

I did that, too, and now am staring wide-eyed at the tiny numbers next to those fandoms and gulping. OMG.

OTOH, what's Yuletide without a little challenge? Yeah, yeah, that's it.

Man, I would have loved it if there was avatar this year. I am getting caught up, and everyone in the household is avidly watching season 3.
