It was a slow day at work, which made it a great day for reading Written by the Victors, as I had no officemates today. Normally I am behind in reading a story, and all of the squee! and discussion has bypassed me by the time I get to it, so it felt great to be able to read something and know what other people were talking about. It happens so seldom.

I also trimmed back my reading list and my friends list, mostly eliminating those people that seemed to have moved off of LJ to elsewhere. I'm close to my max comfort level with what I can keep up with in LJ.

One last reminder: the final stories for mcshep_match are to be posted this weekend, so if you can get over their and read the angst stories, that would be awesome.

Yay chatter!

It's been fun to watch "Written by the Victors" squee roll across my flist over the course of the day. The story made me happy enough that I've deriving residual squee from watching other people dig it. :-)

Also, the WoW Coulton video cracks me up! I've never played Warcraft, but I have many friends who do. And I've been a huge JoCo fan for a few years now, ever since I got to hear him play at a conference where my sweetie was speaking. I love that he actively encourages people to create derivative works based on his songs.

He did a great job of illustrating the song, didn't he? And the monkey-pony thing! that was amusing. I have this vague notion of how the song should be a Michael/Teyla vid, and so was poking around you tube and found it. This was fun enough that I may just put that vid idea to rest.
