That sounds fabulous. onnakitty's volunteer hours were always spent cleaning up the kindergarten areas of her school, including washing all the washable toys in bleach water, picking broken crayons off the floor, etc.
The kids actually got half days on Wednesdays so they could do their volunteer work.
