For [livejournal.com profile] workerb, who brought up the idea so I had to run with it.

The first time a wraith feeds on him, they know he is different. A drone puts his hand on Methos' chest, and the quickening energy spills out into its hand, tearing away a tiny piece of someone else's soul. Startled, the wraith reports it, as Methos doesn’t age. From the quickening of a child to the quickening of a bed-ridden dodderer, the wraith pluck and consume the souls Methos had taken, each one a different taste, a different feel, like a gold chocolate box. He becomes the hive queen's own, a special treat for celebration days.

And he never dies.

Wow! This idea is so great! And yet, in the end I kept thinking, "poor hive queen, she just doesn't know what she's done." This is Methos we are talking about. Methos, who rode with Kronos 1000 years, called him brother, and then betrayed him. Methos, the manipulator and the survivor. He can outwait even the wraith.

Oh, Wraith Queen, are you ever in for a shocker.

Good crossover.

Poor Methos.

I feel so badly for him. That is a very disturbing image.

Methos is like that, a survivor of the most horrifiying situations imaginable, and yet still incredibly cool.

Don't worry! Methos will survive, and eventually, he figures out a way to escape, taking the hive down with him. 'cuz he's that kind of guy.

Nothing says "biblical vengence" like Methos-in-chains. He's totally going to kick her ass and destroy her hive once he gets out of that cocoon.

yeah, I'm pretty hard on him, as he does bounce back. If they ever come up with regeneration in SGA...man, wouldn't that be fun?

Wow, that's a lovely (if disturbing) image. I agree that the hive is in for an unpleasant surprise.

Well, survive, yes, but will he still be sane?!

Then again, after Duncan rescues him, there will be all that lovely putting-him-back-together sex. :-> :->

Very cool drabble. But it's sad to think Methos has survived thousands of years to end up as the Wraith gourmet treat. But he's resourceful, so I hope he doesn't stay that way forever.

Oh, god. Horrifying, indeed. Helluva drabble, though. I am strangely comforted by the thought of how epic Methos' vengeance is going to be.

Sane. Huh. Is Methos ever completely sane? He's good enough to be able to keep going, that's for certain. And he still doesn't know what's happened to Duncan.

(Oh, god, this is horrid. I now have yet another unwritten crossover epic in my brain, involving Methos being taken by the Wraith and ending up in Pegasus, and Duncan having to track him down, and getting involved with the Trust, and from there to SG-1, and...and...and... ::headdesk:: Why can't I write as quickly as the images flow into my brain? It would be so much simpler.)

Thanks! I think my LJ should contain a standard warning for 'may suddenly veer off into intense imagery at any time, proceed at your own risk.' I'm glad you enjoy it.

Hmm. Now I am contemplating how exactly Methos would visit vengence on the hive queen. I'm thinking...fire. Lots and lots of fire.
