Incredibly busy day
Aug. 4th, 2007 09:25 pmI biked about 40 miles this morning, then we went to an birthday party at Golden Gardens beach, where we stayed for a couple of hours. We talked geek things and Lar and I snuggled under the shade of a beach umbrella while Ev constructed things in the wet sand. Most of the other attendants were working security for PAX (penny arcade expo) so there was a lot of gamer, sci fi, and bad star wars parodies talk. Seriously, the guys out-geeked me, and that rarely happens.
We came home, had dinner out, and then dyed my hair. My son has been saying that I needed to dye it for the last couple of weeks, so I caved and just did it. It's a little blonder that I usually get, and I'm not sure it's a color I'll stick with, but it's not as grey as it was.
So, anyway, I'm exhausted. I managed a couple hundred words on the story, so things are a little closer to done than they were yesterday. Maybe tomorrow I can finish the scene, but tonight, I am too sun fried to think. I'll give it a shot in the morning.
