NaNoWriMo is too much of a committment for me this year, but I love participating in [livejournal.com profile] mini_nanowrimo. You commit to a certain number of words per day, and then post the word count totals every day for a month. Since it's been started, it's how I grind my way through the holiday gift exchanges, and it has really helped motivate me.

This year, I'm going to limit my new writing to:
1) The August Prompts: drabbles that I promised people to write in August that I haven't gotten done.
2) My SGA_Santa story
3) My Yuletide story

I'm not planning on signing up for undermistletoe this year, as I already feel like I have a lot to do, but at the same time, I would love to get back to editing/finishing some of my WIPs. This is what's up for choice right now:

Steampunk SGA Big Bang story, currently at 30K + words, with Rodney and Team in Antarctica. There's at least 10 more that needs to be done on that.

Amireal and I wrote a novel about 3 years ago, and it is in desperate need of editing. I managed about 1/4 of it before I set it aside; I would love to get it into shape and posted.

I do have other WIPs (Desert Prince, an old MFU story, the Highlander/Cuthulu universe story that never got done, not to mention some ideas that really should be written) but I would love to get one of those two big stories done first. I'm thinking if I aim for January--or heck, finish it up for 14 valentines-- it's doable. But I have to get through the holiday season first.
