Small Goals
Mar. 12th, 2009 08:17 pmHi, hi! I am alive, just busy. Not with anything in particular, it's just one of those months. I've scheduled myself for Fanlore committee meetings most Sundays, which is working out well at the moment. (I did mention that I was chairing the committee this year, right?) When the weather turns better, I may need to alter the schedule somewhat. While I'm not planning on doing the STP (Seattle-to-Portland Bicycle Classic) this year, I still want to do the tour de cure, so I do need to put in some training time before May.
Lar and I are also talking about hiking this year, sort of a family thing. I think it'll be fun figuring that out.
Last Saturday was volunteering at food lifeline: Our group of 20 people got put in the cold clean room this go-round, and repackaged about 3000lbs of frozen carrots. When we got home, we'd planned on watching Alien, as Ev has never seen it. Only. Once we were warm, fed, and cuddled up on the couch, we sorta fell asleep. This weekend we plan to do better.
Apologies to everyone for not answering emails. I still have yuletide comments and many well wishes from people that I plan on responding to soon. But soon seems to have a weird value in my life at the moment, so. it may be awhile.
I did sign up with the fic finishing community. I'm hoping to work on chapter 4 of the big bang story from last year. I was close to finishing the story, but with STP training, I just didn't have the time. So tonight: open the file, and write 10 words. I'm thinking really small goals.
