On the road again

My dad is having cataract surgery this week, with the possibility of his second eye being repaired two weeks from now, depending on how this one goes. I am headed down to stay with him for the next few days, getting back home Friday. In the meantime, I will not have internet access as he has dial-up, and using it drives me insane.

If I get too crazy, though, I may sneak down to the nearest starbucks and pay for access. I'm not sure I can take 4 days of my dad's company without some sort of mental 'away' space. Though if worse comes to worse, I suppose I can try writing.

Good luck. I had both parents with catarct surgery at the same time. ;-) I was not so bad. I have to currently schedule a YAG procedure for mom. Evidently, after the cataract operation then lens can still go cloudy and obstruct vision. This laser procedure will correct it.

The surgery was fine, about like lasik. My dad felt a lot better having me around, and still would like me to come down for his second eye, but he feels like if I got a job before then, that he could ask his sister or my brother to hang with him for just one day. He was pretty nervous before this, so that's a great improvement. His eye is doing better, too.

Glad to hear it! Mom's is scheduled in two weeks. She's looking forward to it, because she wants clear vision.
