Oh internets, never leave me

Our internet and land line connection cut out at noon yesterday, due to something on Verizon's side. We didn't get it back until sometime in the middle of the night, so I need to catch up on things today. My son was freaked as it was his last day before going back to school, and he felt betrayed that he could not read manga or play his games. The two of us had to settle for our handhelds and watching TV.

*cracks up*

Oh, the tortures of the modern age!!!! *g* (I'm glad it came back! Even if you don't want to be online, not being able to be is horrid)

Exactly! Not having it is so much worse than choosing not to go on-line. (Son was, in fact, more bugged by the fact that when I didn't have internet I made him help me with chores than he was by not having the internet itself. In essence, without the internets to keep me occupied, I clean my house.)

Oh, that's true desperation.
