Can anyone make me an icon out of this?

L found a great military recruiting poster from the 1940s-1950s, and I would love an icon of it, either with 'Navy' replaced with 'OTW' or whatever sparks your creative fancy:

I have no ability of my own, but it's too fun not to share.

A quick reminder: I am up for bid at Sweet Charity! There is less than 20 hours to go, and I will happily write you a minimum 2K word story in one of my listed fandoms or a negotiated fandom to be named later. Blood it you want it, no blood if you don't. I'm easy.

please to excuse my dweebishness but... how does the sweet charity site work? i'm trying to find where to bid for your offering, and it's just not apparent...

I know it's not terribly intuitive. Create an account, then go to the 'buybuybuy' tab on the menu bar. Select 'fiction' from the drop down, and then go down towards the bottom of the page (passing elyn along the way...). Eventually, you get to me. Type what you want to bid in the purple box (if you change the drop down on the right hand side to 'United States', it will show you amounts in dollars.) Once you have typed in your amount, press 'bid', and you are good to go.

Wow. I am just floor and amazed that the bidding went that high.

Are you kidding? For a Rache story? *grin*

The good part is Barb G and I brainstormed some ideas for me ask for if I won, and then she said, "I want to write that story!" So she may, but I still wish I'd won.

Oh, I hope barb does write it! I'd love to see what she comes up with, 'cuz right now, I'm freakin' over having to write something. I mean, it could be ANYTHING!

Formatted how? the entire image on the icon, graphic and text? A gif that switches from the graphic to the text? Just the text?

I have no particular preferences, but please don't stress over it! Apparently while I was sleeping, someone up and made a bunch of variations for me to choose from. So thank you kindly for the offer!

?? I don't really like the blue text... the black, obviously, wasn't showing up at all. I may make red and green variations, or if you have a different favorite color, let me know. I'd be willing to try different shades of blue, too.

Slight variation on the dark blue, and some other colors. I can do many, many colors if you like these - let me know if so, what colors you want.

Wow, these are great! I think the red stands out really well, but so does the gold. Hmmm. Spoiled for choice! *g* Thanks.
