Save My Sanity

Does anyone have a working copy of sweetestdrain's empty hearts vid for Merlin? I am one of those people who likes to watch a vid before I decide to include it in the vid show, and the copy I downloaded from her site will not play in the three different players I tried; VLC says the avi needs to be repaired, and can't do it. I'm pretty frustrated at this point, as several people suggested it, so if one person can get a working copy for me, I'd appreciate it.

Have you just tried bypassing the repairing? Often I get that message from VLC and tell it to skip the repair and the stream is good enough to watch. It might be a little worse for a vid b/c sometimes it's far more fine tuned than TV, but you might get a very good idea of what's in it.

I get green flashes, and it halts less than a minute in. Hence, frustration.

Argh. Yeah.

I'm sure if I were a better person, I'd just watch it streaming and be happy with that. I normally use the streaming, but for vid selection, I like to download as I tend to watch a few times so I can write the blurb; I also like to try burning them to disk and watching on the tv, so I can see what they look like on something larger than a computer. Not all the vids translate and play on my machine, but it does give me a sense of what the one that work would look like projected onto the screen.
