We have launched Fanlore, the OTW wiki for fan information. This one has been in the works awhile, and it's taken a lot of work on the part of a lot of people to bring it live. So thank you to everyone who has helped so far, and to everyone else...Now's your chance! Go sign up for an account and set up a user page to tell your fannish story: how you got into fandom, and your own thoughts on fannish life. Not to mention all that factual stuff on source media and stories and zines and communities and everything else that makes up this loose collective of people called fandom. It's a pretty blank slate right now, so go for it and add things. Give it a try.

Jeebus, I haven't been using it 20 minutes and it's broken. Can you tell me the address of an IT person or group that can help me with logging in? None of the options for Contacts or Help seemed appropriate.

Short story: "logged in" with OpenID, couldn't create a user page without an account, can't make an account because my user name is in use, can't log in to edit the user page with my OpenID (LJ) password, can't email password because there's no email address affiliated with the account. WTF.

Okay, I think I got it working. Still can't change my password, but I'll muddle through.

I have passed along the question about Open ID. I know we had some problems with that early on, but I thought we had fixed it. I will ping the people in our chat room and see if I can get more details/troubleshooting info.

Great, then. The password should be the same as your open id one, but that's the extent of what I know. I'm glad you got it working.
