To me it didn't read as anthropomorphisation at all, though. They were simply stating what it was doing, not giving it emotions or anything. I mean, if I say my computer is doing something, that doesn't mean I think of my computer as anything other than a computer, even if I don't specify which program.

But like the leather pants!Draco of SGA that it is, sentient!Atlantis fanon has flourished with absolutely no canonical reason for the previous three seasons, so I am sure it will continue to be a thorn in my side regardless. :D
