Sandy made me this icon quite a while ago, when I was dealing with some emotional stuff and I needed the reminder. Today I need the reminder again, as Sandy has passed on. She was my friend for 30 years, since we were in college: through the SCA, science fiction fandom, and slash fandom, not to mention our non-fannish lives. I already miss her. She was a community builder, and her passing has left a huge hole in many people's lives.

Take care of yourselves, and live gently in the world today; it's not a day for big decisions. I am leaving comments on, but I have to be honest, I doubt that I will reply.

At some fannish gathering years ago (I think it was the dead dog party at the end of the first Vividcon), someone said something that Sandy very much wanted to remember.
